Hello shopify community,
I am trying to verify the domain for facebooks updates along side the new IOS. I have no manage button appearing, all i see is the domain name, status, date and provider which is shopify. Everyone I know has a Manage button on the end of the shopify domain after the provider collum. I have no button to manage the domain anywhere on the page. I have gone through my administration account, then select online store, select domain and this is what i get. This is the only Domain on the account so it is the primary. Any help asap would be great as my storefronts are suffering.
regards Victoria
Hi @victoriaG ,
Hyde here from Shopify.
Can I ask you to confirm that you are using a domain that you bought from Shopify? The reason I ask is that if you are using a third-party domain on your store then you might need to sign in to the domain provider’s account to edit DNS settings. If you have only just transferred the domain over to Shopify, it may take a little while for the domain to fully propagate.
If you felt comfortable sharing a screenshot of your store admin and the domain section (you can blur out sensitive details) I could get a better sense of what’s going on.
Alternatively, for account-specific issues like this, we could support you more directly via live chat, email, or callback through our help center.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
All the best, Hyde.
I too am having this issue. I registered my domain with google domains. The following steps are what I have completed so far.
-
Created google domain
-
Connected google domain to shopify store
-
Created a google workspace i.e mystore@mydomain. com
-
linked my google domain email address with my stores domain (dns verification steps etc) THROUGH MY GOOGLE account, NOT shopify.
-
Updated my sender email as mystore@mydomain .com
Under domains, it says that my google domain name for my store is the Primary domain. However, there is no edit button, no dns verification button to link my email either. I also might add that I just made the domain today and linked it to my shopify store. So that might be why its lagging behind. Nevertheless, I still would like to inquire about this..
also, I might add that my ultimate goal here is to have my sender email as my mystore@mydomain .com without it having the shopifyemail .com attached to it, as well as being able to successfully link my store’s URL with my supplier websites. Currently, I put my url into my suppliers website and press sync and it show up as mystore.com.shopifystore. com
Thank you!!
Ok, so when you connect a Google Domain you should be able to do so automatically.
To be clear: this means that your domain is connected to Shopify, but not that it has been transferred to Shopify. In other words, it is still managed through your Google Domain account and not through Shopify.
As a result, you will not see the option to edit DNS settings in your Shopify admin, as that is all still controlled through your Google domains.
What’s more, Shopify does not offer email forwarding, so you will need to follow Google’s own guide to Forwarding your emails.
I hope this helps!
