Shopify email - Custom automations

Hi

I’m not sure if this is too advanced for shopify email automation but I’m hoping I can customize, I want to send a series of emails (4) only to people who subscribe to my newsletter box in my footer but didn’t make a purchase.

Then I want to send a series of around 4 emails only to people who make a purchase and subscribed to the email marketing box they check at checkout

So far I created a welcome email series (brand story with discount) using one of the automation templates for the ones who subscribe to the newsletter without purchase. (it says only to people who haven’t made a purchase so I think its safe from being released to my purchased customers. )

I opted for four emails even though I wanted 5 because I can’t see any way of adding more email segments to the workflow so if you know anything about that as well it would be helpful!

Hey,

For this I recommend you switch to an email service like ActiveCampaign (that’s what we’re using) to build more detailed automations.
Some of the basic ones might still work with Shopify but since you’re just building it, I recommend starting with ActiveCampaign right away, so you can extend or add flows in the future.

They allow to have automations start other automations through advanced tagging and customer behavior. It’s great!
