When i export a file from shopify any Titles and descriptions that have special characters do not export correctly
I found a way around that by exporting as plain csv and opening in notepad then opening as csv file in excel
However, for my larger files that download as zip files this method does not work.
Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

This might just be due to the encoding/character set setting of your spreadsheet software. Normally, you’d want to use UTF-8 encoding when opening CSV files to display those special characters properly.
Have you already tried opening the CSV files with Google Sheets after unzipping them? Google Sheets uses UTF-8 encoding by default so I believe they’ll be displayed correctly in Google Sheets.
