Shopify gift card not showing on Squarespace website

Hi!

I am really hoping someone can offer insight on this as I appear to be stuck in a loop with tech support on both ends.

Issue:

I recently added a gift card as a product in Shopify, in the very same way that we add the physical products.

The issue I am having is that the gift card does not show on our website with the other products.

Details:

We have all of our products managed by Shopify but displaying on our Squarespace 7.1 website via code. We only sell from our actual websitehttps://www.elizabundledee.com/ not the Shopify store page.

In case it helps to know, I added the gift card as a product, made it “available”, connected it via tags to the collection of products currently showing on our website.

The gift card does show up on the Shopify store page (only if you search for it, but that is an issue for another day).

Things I have tried:

Shopify support verified that the gift card is set up correctly and said all that they could recommend was to reach out to Squarespace support and ask if they only allow for “physical” products to be displayed because maybe that is why it will not show up. Squarespace support then sent me here to ask.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I will also add that I just recently took over the updates on the website from someone who no longer works with us and not sure where to start here or if there is an entirely “better” way to do all of this. I welcome your feedback on this too.

Thank you for all those details as well as the link to the different stores and products.

From my understanding of things, the collection on the squarespace website should be generated using the Buy Button tool (Buy Button · Shopify Help Center). An embed code is created for an existing collection created from within the Shopify admin and then allows you to embed the product(s)/collection(s) onto your external site.

First thing first in this situation is that the gift card product MUST be included in the collection on the Shopify side of things before it will work on Squarespace. You can confirm the products in the collection you are featuring in your Shopify admin under Products > Collections.

Once you have configured the appropriate collection properly then you will want to recreate the buy button code and replace the embed code on the Squarespace website.

If you are unable to get the gift card included in your collection on Shopify, our support should absolutely be able to assist you with that. I am also happy to help you from here as well if you are willing to share some screenshots (please edit out any sensitive information about the store or your account before sharing them here) of how the product and tags are setup in the admin along with the collection requirements.

Alternatively, you can create an embed code just for the gift card and embed that as a single product or product page on the squarespace site as well.
