Shopify Harboring Criminals

Fur affinity was recently taken over by a domain hijacker and it redirects to a Shopify link specifically shop.furaffinity.net . I’m requesting that you forward whoever registered that site to the authorities immediately as that is a phishing and fraud site that you are hosting. Any response to this post that isn’t a direction to how to report this concern in a faster manner from Shopify staff will be seen as an admission of conspiracy by Shopify staff. Your needlessly complicated ways of getting staff attention just cause a cyber security nightmare and are risking the data and wallets of millions of individuals and is frankly gross negligence on your part.

Hi @Anonymous

I’m not sure if you’re the owner of the domain name that was hijacked, but if so I highly recommend reaching out to your domain registrar for assistance in regaining control over that domain.

Then after you regain control, set up 2FA (two factor authentication) as quickly as possible.

On the Shopify side, you can file a report about a malicious merchant to Shopify directly here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/tools/report-an-issue/report-a-merchant

Then Shopify will review your submission and take the appropriate action.

Hope this helps,
