This is driving me crazy as well. Obviously developers making things up that don’t make sense in the real world use by the users.

One option is Bookkeep’s Reports view inside Shopify. It lays out the full picture accountants need, including:

  • Gross sales down to net sales (with clear breakdowns for refunds and discounts)

  • Sales tax withheld

  • Payment breakdown by type, even showing pending payments where payment hasn’t been collected yet

  • Duties collected

  • Liabilities like gift cards sold and taxes collected

It’s essentially the straightforward Finance Summary report people are asking for—brought back in a way that actually supports accounting.

Same headache here. I ended up rebuilding it myself every morning — opening about nine different reports and pasting the numbers into a spreadsheet, which eats close to forty minutes a day. Did you find any workaround that got you back to one page, or are you just living with the browser print-out for now?

I’ve been dealing with the browser print out but I can’t use Firefox, only Google Chrome as Firefox comes up completely blank on my end. Such a pain. My poor accountants eyes looking at the small numbers.
