Shopify Inbox Chat window Doesn't fit screen

Hi i’ve seen two other posts with a similiar problem, but can’t find a solution that works for me.

I also can’t find where the code to adjust the height and width is located.

Problem:

When clicking the inbox on the website, the chat window is too large on the screen, and the message at the top gets cut off. It also makes it impossible to go back on the chat, and you can only close it or open it again. Is there a way to somehow make this window smaller?

This only happens on laptops, it could be to do with the aspect ratio of the screen?

The problem is, welcome message and “x” button gets cut off as shown below.

I believe this only occurs on laptops…

We have checked for this issue in real system and browserstack but it is working ok. In which system configuration or browser you are checking?

Just on windows 10 chrome.

Do you know where I can specifically find the code to change the length and width of the chatbox?

  2. Asset->/theme.scss.liquid->paste below code at the bottom of the file.

Can’t find /theme.scss.liquid in my code. Is there another path?

Hello, thanks for answering. I just noticed I’m using the Dawn theme, which seems to not have this file. How can I fix the chat size in the Dawn theme? My URL is www.parx.store

  1. Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
  2. Asset->/base.css ->paste below code at the bottom of the file.

Just did it and didn’t change anything. Are you seeing some difference from your side?

No, I pasted it at the bottom of /base.css
