This is the second post I am making about Shopify continually billing me $39 a month for not even having a store open. I have gotten no support and not even a reply to my previous post. My store was deactivated last year. According to the chat bot and number outs community “help” center posts, that means I should not be being billed. Now, I have paid over $200 for a store that is nonexistent. I’m thinking about pursing legal matters for this. This is very fraudulent and wrong. I hope an admin responds to this before I pursue legal pathways.
Hi, @Brett24 .
Thanks for posting your question to the Shopify Community.
I understand you’re receiving a continuous charge of $39/month, however you do not have a store open.
You mentioned that your store was deactivated last year. To confirm, when you closed your store did you receive a confirmation email? This automatic confirmation email is sent to confirm that your store has been successfully closed. This information is outlined in our Help Center resource.
If you’re still being billed, you should have received an email stating the breakdown of the bill. You can filter your email inbox by searching ‘Shopify bill or Shopify billing’ to help locate the email. Another option is using our Store Recovery Tool. To use the tool, simply enter your email address. The system will send you a list of store(s) associated with the email address you entered.
Let us know if the above options have helped. If you have additional questions, feel free to include them here.
