Shopify Keeps Checking ´continue selling when out of stock` when I uncheck it

I’m facing a really frustrating issue. I keep unchecking the “Continue selling when out of stock” option for certain items in Shopify, but somehow, after an hour or two, it gets checked again automatically without me doing anything. This has been happening for a while now, and it’s driving me crazy. Customers keep placing orders for these out-of-stock items because of this problem, even though I don’t want to keep selling them when they’re unavailable.

I don’t want to remove the products from my store, as I want to continue collecting reviews and keep the items visible. I just need them to show as “Sold Out.” Does anyone know how to fix this?

One developer solution to this would be when inventory is 0 or items are out of stock you can hide those products or somehow disable them for the user to click.

I mean even if you show sold out customer might just look into it and try to order and the problem you are facing the order will still be placed.

You can consider this. Please reach out via mail if you need assistance for a convenient conversation

Thanks

It sounds like there’s an app or a Flow setup which is doing this, as Shopify itself shouldn’t change this setting on its own.

Do you have any apps or flows which might be affecting this? Anything related to products, inventory etc.?
