SHOPIFY BREAKS PROMISES AND LIES: After we got a bunch of fraudulent orders (Re: fraud: order info to block
https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/fraud-order-info-to-block/m-p/2569858#M440332), Shopify Support offered us a free session with their “fraud prevention specialists” and promised to waive the fees associated with the refunds of the fraudulent orders – see screenshot below.
We followed up with them immediately about scheduling the session and where we could see the waived fees (since we could find zero record of this). Two Shopify support advisors replied saying that actually they would NOT waive any fees nor do they even have “fraud prevention specialists.”
Beware: Shopify support lies and makes promises they can’t keep. Just another example of how Shopify works harder to get customers to give up and go away than provide help or reliable service.
