Shopify Marketplace connect with Amazon Handmade

Hi,

Looking to see if anyone in here that is using Shopify Marketplace connect AND also has listings on Amazon Handmade that has successfully pushed items from Shopify Marketplace connect to Amazon Handmade market without having to list stuff on Amazon first and then “link” them in Shopify Marketplace connect.

Every time I try to I keep getting errors and wondering to what category, product type and item type needs to be at for this to work.

  1. Product Type & Category: Ensure your items are categorized as “Handmade” with the correct product type in both Shopify and Amazon. Amazon Handmade has strict subcategories for handmade items.

  2. Attributes Matching: Make sure all required fields (e.g., materials, dimensions) are filled out in Shopify, as Amazon requires detailed product information.

  3. Error Details: Check the exact error messages in Shopify Marketplace Connect and adjust the product details accordingly.

If it’s still not working, listing on Amazon first and linking in Shopify might be the only workaround due to Amazon’s Handmade-specific guidelines.

that is what I was thinking, but there are some shortcomings with adding to Amazon first then linking to Shopify as the price is set to the amazon price and I have to go into each variant to remove the “fixed price” setting, which gets to be a pain when you have over 95 variants for a single product.
