Shopify overselling inventory bug - orders not being recognized in adjustment history

We have a client (bombshell-bling-accessories-llc.myshopify.com) where Shopify is not recognizing all purchased orders originating from draft orders.

A product called “Leopard Rhinestone Wallet” has this inventory adjustment history:

The circled pair of activities above show a draft order converting into a purchase order and decrementing the inventory appropriately. This was correct.

However there were 5 other purchase orders of this product that did not get accounted for in the above adjustment history:

  5. https://bombshell-bling-accessories-llc.myshopify.com/admin/orders/5112345690325

I searched the forum and this is not an issue due to inventory locations like this post. bombshell-bling-accessories-llc.myshopify.com only has 1 inventory location

Could someone from Shopify please help escalate this bug to the product team? Multiple customers are facing this issue where orders from draft orders are not decrementing Shopify inventory appropriately.

It’s non-deterministic, and so it’s hard to reproduce. But it is happening to multiple merchants.

Shopify ticket #36744476 documents this for a different merchant.
