Shopify Payments Account on hold

Hi All,

I can see similar queries. A month ago payouts were on hold and I had to submit business verification which I did(note business has already been trading on shopify with no issues like this before since last Nov),

Verification was submitted, only to be told over a week ago my Shopify Payments Account is on hold, so I can not accept orders, to contact shopify. I am a small business trying to grow, my team worked tirelessly to launch for yesterday, but we couldn’t.

I have contacted Support numerous times, with no further information, only there is a backlog, and will take time but no idea of length of time and they haven’t requested further info which I could have happily shared as my business has been set up properly. This is having huge affect of my business, as its fashion so timing is everything, and money has been spent.

Can anyone please help, its been 8 days now with customers unable to checkout as its says this store cannot accept payments?

Since this is an account issue, I know it is not ideal though, the best course of action is to keep an open communication with Shopify support team to request for a follow up update on your concern. As for payments on your store, I highly suggest that you try to set up a secondary payment option while there is an issue going on to your Shopify payments account.

After weeks of waiting and no response, they finally requested a certain company number which I had in place anyway as part of setting up business. no communication and no explanation as to why it took so long to request this information I had to hand. It was very disappointing service, and didn’t get to launch on time

Wow. Disappointing. We are still waiting on communication to resolve this issue. Day 13 now with no word.
