- External checkouts are slow and include unnecessary animations.
- So far, we haven’t found an external checkout that doesn’t differ from the prices in the store. Even if the difference is minor, there is always a discrepancy between the exchange rates we’ve set and the final amount the customer has to pay.
- We’re concerned that Shopify might prohibit the use of external checkouts in the future, rendering all efforts pointless. Imagine merging 4 stores across 4 different countries, only to have Shopify discontinue external checkout support. Unfortunately, the risk is not justifiable for us.
