Hi, i have a question. My Shopify Payments has been disabled due to an elevated risk of customer disputes.
I filed a dispute form and got this: Shopify Payments will remain disabled. Unfortunately, we are unable to support your business. This decision is final.
I understand it’s not possible as i’m still dealing with chargebacks and disputes. also stopped taking orders.
I was wondering if i can rely on shopify reactivating my payments after some time passed after i dealt with all my customer disputes.
If I demonstrate numerous times that my products are faulty, get a lot of charge-backs and returns, I probably would re-examine my business strategy before trying to get Shopify Payments again…
i know, i made a beginner mistake of not having the product in stock when taking orders which resulted in long shipping times and disputes. im looking to reactivate my payments after everything is solved.
I’ve heard of merchants being reactivated once they’ve been put in touch with a representative. I think they’re usually looking for an explanation of your mistake a plan to change going forward.
To avoid payout freezes and sudden account shutdowns, it is safer to integrate Shopify Stripe Checkout via a third-party solution rather than using Shopify Payments.
