I currently try to setup shopify payments. When I try to enter my VAT I get invalid format/ungültiges format.

Is there any solution to this?

Hello there @lisacardellino from my experience and research, this is usually caused by gateway issues and details such as the credentials for accounts used. So my first suggestion is to review all these necessary stuff to be sure that no mistake of any sort was made there.
If that doesn’t work, then you should reach out to Shopify support with the screenshot and other necessary details.
