Shopify payments is holding $70k of my money

We just discovered that we have a payout balance of $70,000. So shopify chat in all their wisdom told us to follow the instructions here - https://shopify.click/51109-51946-7756-8176-54685.webm where we were supposed to re-add our bank account. But. Big surprise, we can’t add our bank account. So now we have no way to get our daily payouts much less the $70k they are holding hostage. I have payroll to process on Monday, I need to get my money.

Shopify has no phone support anymore despite increasing prices snd forcing legacy users hand into upgrading to “packages” that are insanely more expensive than signed up for.

Shopify shiftedover to shopify payments in october and it turns out every single paypal payment is being held and not paid out.

hers what “chat “said” - the latter part of 2024, Shopify Payments has added Paypal Wallet as a supported Gateway under our paymetn service. This integration has opened a larger avenue for customers to pay, which has also caused issues later on with processing payments. Around October 2024 was when that occured; almost the same time when some of your Paypal-paid transactions are showing as ‘Pending’ until now.”

im sorry but 70K$ is not “some of my payouts” Thats a fuckload of money.

I am at a loss here, now i cant even get the small daily payouts weve been getting, i have empoyees i need to pay and need this problem solved today.

Shopify your customer service SUUUUUUUCKKKKKKS! i used to be able to call and get REAL help from a human, now i have to waste HOURS talking to chat and it gets me nowhere at all. no resolution, no help, no real work being done.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I need a number to actually call shopify and get some bleep done!

i absolutely love how no one from shopify wants to touch this. What would have happened if my store for some reason had to be shut down and we hadnt discovered this MASSIVE issue? Would shopify have ever told us that there was an issue? Bear in mind this has been accruing since OCTOBER of 2024! Would they have just kept my money If i hadn’t spoken up? Shopify your customer service is absolutely atrocious. The absolute worst considering you are holding close to 3/4 of $100K and not saying anything.

It’s insane…I have the same issue and I did readd my bank account but it says payouts are delayed for ANOTHER four days. This is absolutely insane.
