Shopify Payments Issue - Seeking Solutions

Hello fellow Shopify users,

I hope this post finds you well. I wanted to reach out to the community because I’ve been facing a rather frustrating issue with Shopify Payments, and it seems like I’m not alone. I’m hoping to get some advice or insights from those who may have experienced something similar or have knowledge on how to resolve this issue.

The Problem: My Shopify store, while not free, is currently facing a significant functionality problem with Shopify Payments. Despite having everything set up correctly, when a customer tries to complete an order using a credit or debit card, they encounter the error message: “There Was An Issue Processing Your Payment. Try Again Or Use A Different Payment Method.” This problem has persisted even after multiple attempts with different people, IPs, cards, and providers. It’s disheartening to see my store rendered virtually useless due to this issue.

Store is located in the Czech Republic.

Shopify Support: I’ve reached out to Shopify’s support via live chat, but unfortunately, they were not able to provide a solution. They assured me that everything is okay on their end, which clearly is not the case.

Alternative: Desperate for a solution, I considered switching to an alternative payment provider like Stripe. Stripe is available in the Czech Republic and is functioning perfectly fine in another store of mine. However, to my surprise, when I attempt to choose a third-party payment provider in Shopify, Stripe does not appear in the list, even though it’s available in our country, and my shop is set up with Czech location and address details.

I’m turning to the Shopify community for assistance. Has anyone else faced a similar issue with Shopify Payments in the Czech Republic? If so, how did you resolve it? Also, if anyone has insights on why Stripe might not be appearing as a payment provider option despite being available in the country, I would greatly appreciate your input.

This issue is affecting my business significantly, and I’m eager to find a solution as soon as possible. Your help and guidance would be immensely valuable.
