Hi, I know Square negotiate lower rates based on your annual revenue. I am wondering if anyone have any luck with Shopify getting them reducing their Shopify Pay credit card rates (online and in person with Shopify card reader) without creasing the Shopify Plan to the highest tier. I much rather have Shopify card reader integrate with ShopifyPOS then having to use a 3rd party vendor for card payments.

The rates listed on our pricing page are non-negotiable and the only way for you to reduce the credit card fees you pay when accepting payments through Shopify Payments is by upgrading your subscription to a higher plan. Generally, our features on higher plans are of most benefit to merchants with high revenues, including the reduced credit card fee charges for Shopify Payments.
Are you currently using Square for your in-person sales?
That’s disappointing to hear. I wanted to move from BigCommerce. The monthly rate is the same, I need the same apps with the same monthly cost but our rates with Square are currently around 2.1% which is lower than your 2.5% for the advanced plan. If I use square and add 0.6% per transaction it ends up costing me even more than your rates. 
We also use Square for our in-person sales.
