Shopify Payouts are incorrect and missing some of the transactions from today.

We had a $1600 day today and my Shopify payout balance is only allocating for around $600. When I click on the balance it’s definitely missing transactions that should be allocated from a credit card transaction. It’s about an $800 discrepancy of about 8-10 transactions not appearing in the balance and is also not shown in the lower portion showing recent transactions. Has anyone ever seen this before? It’s just a big difference.

Compare the Payouts with the Orders. Then check for missing Orders. Go to Orders and check for the details of it. Check what gateway processes the Order. If it was processed outside Shopify Gateway, it will not show in the Payouts section.

These are all transactions that were processed through our Shopify pos using a credit card. It seems like the ones that are missing show that it’s captured the payment via whichever cc used but in the timeline it’s not showing that it’s being added to my payout on the next date like you would normally see under timeline on the order.

If it is past more than the normal threshold “depending on your Business Location” there could be something wrong with your Shopify Payments. Did you recently update your Shopify Payments Information? Or do you have failed payouts that came from Refunded Orders?

After that said Order “Orders that do not generate Payout dates” were the succeeding orders experienced the same issue with generating Payout Date?

I haven’t updated anything or had any failed payouts due to refunds. These numbers are pretty typical for us this time of year. The orders that aren’t generating a payout date are in no particular order (like after a certain time etc) they are out of order and all over the place for today. I’m just wondering if it will fix itself over night. But I’m freaking out a bit, like has it ever happened before and I’ve not noticed I’m missing payments.

Could be solved by itself, but I recommend contacting them via chat instead as early as possible. “making sure your details are safe as well by only allowing selected teams to take a look at your Payouts Admin”

NONE of my card payments from yesterday are showing in payout (or in the section for pending transaction in the payout part) but they are showing as successful, captured, authorized, etc. when I click on the orders. I tried one today and it didn’t show either. Im scared to do CC transactions for fear of not getting the payout!

They did show correctly on my register summary print out.

I would send Shopify a message in the messenger, they were looking into it and I don’t know if they fixed something or not. They said mine should be fixed either later today or tomorrow and if not, to contact them back. So I would submit a ticket and let them know which order numbers your having issues with.

Super frustrating. This is happening to us too. We have $7,000 that is missing from payouts but say they were processed and captured through our POS system. This may be the final straw for Shopify payments. We may switch to another service, this has been an ongoing problem & at one point we had 25k stuck for over a week for no reason other than ‘routine checks’. Shopify does not seem to care about it customer.

It’s happened again today too! Tomorrow we are running our register alternatively using square for credit cards because we can’t afford to wait for these payments that have now stacked up to almost $4k

Does square work with the Shopify POS system? We have 6 Shopify GO DOCs that we use for card processing. Do you use them? Or what do you use?

It doesn’t work with each other. When we run using square we check out on Shopify and zero out the order so it’s still tracking the inventory and then we process the credit card on square using the square card reader. It’s definitely extra steps but atleast I know I’ll have my money the very next business day.

We are experiencing a similar issue, all our online orders are showing in payout balance however POS sales are being captured but not added to payout balance

I haven’t heard back and I submitted a ticket on Friday. I messaged them again yesterday without anything, how long did it take for you to get a response from them? I am getting stressed even though my amount of money is much smaller than some of the replies on here it still matters.
