Shopify plus : B2B and subscriptions

The title has our environment details and this is for now on a dev store.

I installed the subscription app from Shopify and also an third party one and tested. It seems that this is a no go. Asking the ever friendly and patient robot the question I get this

If a B2B customer can’t subscribe because subscriptions aren’t compatible with B2B on Shopify, consider using a third-party wholesale app. For more details, check out B2B on Shopify.

I asked the third party company and they told me following : if the store is set to B2B only with login and 6 digits then none of the subscription apps will works as this is a restriction from Shopify

Is this really the case?

Is this something that might change soon ?

What might be the 'third-party wholesale app’ mentioned above ?

I think in most cases, third party wholesale/B2B apps will try to imitate the features and environment that is built in B2B Shopify Plus (companies, custom pricing, etc.), without the need of you to pay for this plan: https://apps.shopify.com/search?q=b2b%20wholesale

Regarding ‘none of the subscription apps’ work with B2B Shopify Plus, I’m not sure this is right, but may be. B2B Plus requires of New Accounts to be enabled, and few apps or none are integrating in this New Dashboard at the moment. Nonetheless I would consult this directly with Subscriptions apps, or with Shopify support (then you can request the AI Bot to talk with an agent instead).
