I’ve checked the admin, no warnings, no errors, payments are active.
Technically everything is “green.”
But sessions and sales don’t reflect that, the results .
Has anyone else dealt with this disconnect?
Yeah, this happens a lot on Shopify. “All green” in the admin just means the store is technically working, not that it’s set up to convert or attract the right traffic.
What’s usually happening is a gap between visibility and intent. You might be getting sessions, but they’re either low quality, mismatched to what you sell, or hitting pages that don’t clearly answer.
Just because you signed up for a shopify account doesn’t mean you’re suddenly gonna get complete strangers to buy from you. It’s your job to run your business, bring customers, be honest, and sell your items.

Yeah, a lot of people just search for “no sales” and “zero sales” here. Some with “store feedback” too. And a lot of merchants think they set everything they could, but still no sales. But in reallity you will see a lot of stores that have basic theme configuration, free theme, but not even used to 40% of the features that the free theme has. Two sentences on the homepage, “great copy,” and then on the product page, a short product description and maybe one more section “You may also like”. With no meaningful information on the about us page, no proper contact details, just Gmail or Hotmail. No way to really earn trust on any page.
So everything can be setup correcty, but it is so basic that it can not sell on its own.
You can pick up a lot of good advice in those topics, but you can check some of those stores, a good part of them could be closed.

There’s no disconnect from something working vs bad expectations and just not putting any thought between the two.
The disconnect is in the bad expectations.
A truck can haul a lot but your not gonna enter it in a grand-prix and expect to win all the prize money in the world.
Opening a website does not guarantee riches.
The big honking clue is when a post like this at no point bothers to even mention an actual business model.
You need to mentally address such false sentiments that led you to ask such a flawed question or your gonna have a real bad time in business letting magical thinking lead you around.
Get self-awareness as fast as possible by learning from all the mistakes to be found in one of the mass graveyards of this cliché.
When you have a concern like this you need to pump the breaks and take even the smallest bit of time and mental effort to ask if anyone has EVER had the same concern, THEN JUST SEARCH FIRST:
