So earlier in the Summer my main Shopify store got a 20% hold on it that they told me would be lifted on November 25th 2025. I pivoted to my other store for some time until I decided to start selling on my main store again once I released that the hold release date was coming up soon.
This was in early October. I managed to rack up over 13k in “Reserve Funds” from October to November. So imagine my surprise when on November 20th for no reason my reserve amount disappeared. After looking at the Order Transaction section and consulting with Shopify support it looked as though the money had been pulled out early in preparation to be deposited on the 25th. So i waited patiently.
The 25th came and went and I received no payout. To save you the hassle I contacted support I total of 4 times between the 25th and the 2nd of December. They attempted to escalate the situation once only to receive no response. This most recent time I was able to get the matter escalated and hear back and what I heard back goes as follows “I’ve reached out to our processing partner for some additional context for us and to have a look on their end as well. I will reach back out with an update for you as soon as I’m able.”
This would be fine and dandy normally but then at the same time I received this message, I also got notified that my Shopify payments were DISABLED. Due “to an elevated risk of customer disputes.”
Mind you this store just got its payout hold released last week and has and I’ve only received about 3 chargebacks within that time. This store generates anywhere from 250-500 orders a day. Yet somehow my payouts are paused and now they want me to appeal, with information I don’t even know if I have.
So not only do I not have my 13k and probably never will, I now have no way of getting my current payouts and using any of that money to fulfill my orders.
I swear 99% of customer issues could be solve with a dedicated support line.
I’m just super stressed right now guys because I literally don’t know what to do. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before with Shopify. Right before Christmas too is criminal.
No one seems to know where the money went and now I can’t even get payout on a store that has no holds. Ridiculous.
