If your store still runs Shopify Scripts for custom checkout logic, you need to start planning now.
Shopify just confirmed the timeline → No more editing or publishing Scripts after April 15 → All Scripts stop running completely on June 30
That gives you about three months to migrate everything to Shopify Functions. Functions are faster, more flexible, and built for the long term. But migration is not something you want to rush on a Friday afternoon before a big sale.
The stores that plan this transition now will barely notice the change. The ones that wait until June will be scrambling to fix broken checkouts during peak traffic.
If you are not sure what your store uses, check your admin. And if you see Scripts running, start the conversation with your developer this week.
