We are testing a trade registration form for our client and for that purpose have disabled our reCaptcha preference for new registrations while testing in our stage store environments.
Regardless, an issue has risen from our QA team that after registering as a new user, the account is not created (does not appear in admin/customers) and obviously not logged on. There is no indication of an error.
I asked some members of my team who have not registered a trade account to attempt, both in an environment that had the recaptcha enabled and one that was disabled. Both cases there was a successful account creation.
My question is, does Shopify have some protocol in place to disregard requests after a certain number of attempts are made — a kind of of internal bot protection — and if so, what is the limit there? Is there any place in the documentation I could find this (to satisfy the ticket I’d love to finish soon)?
