There is a seller, https://madammadepins.myshopify.com/password, who has sold items dating back as far as Mar of 2022 and has not delivered products. She has numerous customers who have spent hundreds of dollars on her shop who have no received products. Many are unable to file chargebacks with their banks or through paypal due to being too far out of the date range.
Recently, she deleted her social media account where she posted information about her shop. She has not responded to any email correspondence.
Is there a way Shopify can investigate this seller and or assist in her buyers taking action to reclaim their funds or hold the seller accountable?
For context, Shopify is the website and shopping cart service that some merchants use to run their online store, however, we do not manage the orders or returns of the store. Since they operate independently it is always best to reach out to the shop first. If you’re not hearing back, I have another solution for you.
I want to stress, we take matters like this very seriously and take all necessary actions when stores are not acting in good faith or when they make it challenging for customers to contact the business.
Thank you again for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.
