Shopify shipping & delivery - bugs

The label feature is full of bugs.

First of all, it still automatically choses carriers you have deselected in the settings. This means you can end with no options except a carrier way too far from your location. And once you look at shipping label options, you can’t cancel. You’re now stuck to use a carrier that can be miles away, before you even go ahead with buying a label.

In addition, in the order overview it shows the wrong carrier used for shipping. For example, if the system overwrites the carriers you have selected and selects one you don’t want, it will show the item was shipped via Royal Mail when it was actually used with Yodel.

If I try to remove/delete, say, Yodel from the carrier options to stop it from being selected, I can’t remove it.

In addition, the Shop Location (Fulfillment location) in the shipping/label section show up with some unknow address I’ve never heard of, and never used or selected.

I have so many problems from this. Sometimes with large volumes, I forget that it issues labels for providers I DONT WANT and I end up sending them with the wrong provider, causing losses.

PLEASE FIX. THESE ARE SERIOUS FLAWS AND CREATES A LOT OF PROBLEMS. IT DOESN’T ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL THE LABELS OR REQUEST A REFUND.

Image: Can’t get rid of the carrier. Even when the customer selects a specific carrier you can only use the carrier you never opted for in the settings:

As I already explained in my post, I CAN’T disconnect or deselect the carrier in the settings.

Ok, I understand now how to change this.

Shopify DEFAULTS the shipping provider in the Shipping Zone (SettingsShipping & Delivery - select the tag General Shipping Rates > … scroll down to Shipping Zone).

You have to MANUALLY change each of the shipping zone to your preferred provider. Otherwise this annoying feature defaults to Shopify’s own choice.

Go to the name of the carrier (in this example it’s Royal Mail). Select the three dots - select Edit Rate - select your preferred Carrier.

Surely Shopify could have structured this better? It’s an absolute pain of a workaround.
