Hi, I’ve ordered technical parts from a site in the UK which is accepting orders.
The money has been deducted from my account, but five weeks in, I’m starting to think I’m being too patient.
The parts haven’t been shipped, the last reply from the store was three weeks ago, saying it would be shipped in two days. Now they are just on radio silence.
Is there anything I can do through shopify?
They’ve got your name plastered all over their site.
I would have to think twice before I used a site that uses shopify if that’s the service.
Obviously Shopify doesn’t run the store, but they do have the Shopify name plastered all over the website.
It gives Shopify a bad name… If I was them, I’d be concerned that a rogue dealer was using their name and tools. If they don’t care, then neither do I, but there’s a risk of a lot of dealers being tarred with the same brush. Just saying…

I’m sorry to hear you haven’t received your order yet. Five weeks is definitely a few weeks too long in my opinion so you’ve done the right thing by reaching out.
Firstly, I advise you to get in touch with your bank asap to report the transaction and request to retrieve your funds. Then, contact Shopify Support. Our policy states that if you have tried to resolve an issue with a store but it hasn’t worked, then after 30 days you can contact Shopify Support. Due to privacy, Shopify can’t provide information about an investigation. However, the store owner is informed about the issue. Shopify might contact you to gather more information but won’t provide investigation results.
