I have just downgraded my plan from basic to starter. When searching for items on my website it is still bringing up my previous collections, blog posts and pages as options. Because starter doesn’t support these it of course throws up the 404 not found page.
Is there a way that I can remove these options from my search bar? I don’t want to be misleading or frustrate my customers when these options cannot be found.
To remove the unavailable collections, blog posts, and pages from your Shopify search bar, you can follow these steps:
Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard.
From the sidebar, click on “Online Store” and then select “Navigation.”
Look for the “Search” section and click on it.
In the “Search” section, you will see a list of search options that appear in your search results.
Locate the options that correspond to the collections, blog posts, and pages that you want to remove from the search results.
Click on the option you want to remove and then select “Remove” to exclude it from the search results.
Repeat the process for each collection, blog post, or page you want to remove from the search results.
Once you have made all the necessary changes, click on “Save” to update your settings.
By removing these options from the search results, customers will no longer see them as available search options, preventing them from encountering the 404 not found page and reducing potential frustration.
Note that these steps will only remove the options from the search results and not delete the actual collections, blog posts, or pages from your Shopify store.

After playing around with settings I managed to remove these by unchecking pages and collections in the search and discovery app. Thank you to everyone for your assistance.
