Shopify store deactivated - business model documents requested

I set up an account 2 or 3 weeks ago and it was nearly instantly deactivated with no reason given. After numerous attempts made to rectify my account with customer service, I received this:

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please be informed that In order to reconsider your account for eligibility to use Shopify we require some additional information with regards to your business model. You can send the following documents as attachments in response to this email:> > * Proof of address - Utility bill> * Proof of business association> * Proof of inventory> * Social media links related to your business
I am a sole proprietor and do not have this documentation. How can I close my account and cancel the domain purchase I made through Shopify?

I’m sorry you’re going through this.

To close your account and cancel your domain, go to Settings > Plans > Deactivate Store in your Shopify admin. But if the domain was purchased through Shopify, it is still registered in your name. You can transfer it to another registrar or let it expire. If you need Shopify to cancel, contact Shopify Support directly and request to cancel your domain :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi what did you end up doing? did they deactivate ur shopify? i’m going through the same thing right now
