Have recently added a third party domain to my shopify store, and for the last 4 days, it has read “SSL pending”.
My store is currently displayed as broken.. i assume due to it being “unsecure”.
Everything is all good on the third parties end.

Hey, @micknewland .
Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.
We weren’t able to check on your domain as you didn’t share the URL on the post. However, if the SSL has been pending for 4 days, then it’s possible that there’s an issue with connecting your domain to Shopify. Since you’re using a third-party domain, then you’ll need to ensure that you’ve added both of Shopify’s DNS records (eg. A and CNAME) and you can follow our guide on that right over here: Connecting a third-party domain to Shopify manually. Should you need further assistance with editing the DNS settings for your domain, then this is also something that your domain provider can help you with as well.
If you’ve added both of Shopify’s DNS records and the SSL is still stuck, then it looks like we’ll need to access your account in order to identify and resolve the problem. While we’re unable to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community, we’d be happy to further assist you through live chats. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center and login to your account to create a support request.
That being said, since you’re a new member of the Shopify Community, then I’d love to hear more about your business and share some resources to help you get started. What types of products are you looking to sell? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?
Hey @Elias ,
The domain is www.hplssupplyx.com.
ive tried everything and cant seem to get ahold of any live chat no matter where i look so any help i can get is greatly appreciated
Hey, @micknewland .
Thanks for the follow-up and the additional context.
I’ve taken a look at your domain (www.hplssupplyx.com) using WHO.IS, a free public domain lookup tool, and it looks like your domain does have both of Shopify’s DNS records. However, while the SSL generally takes around 48 hours to set up, any changes made to your domain’s DNS can cause the SSL to require another 48 hours to complete the set up. Can you confirm when the DNS was last edited for your domain?
If it’s been more than 48 hours since the DNS was last edited, then we may need to take a closer look at your account. I’ve included a screenshot to help you with navigating the automated chat on the Shopify Help Center and accessing our live chats.
If you have any other questions on this topic, then don’t hesitate to let me know!
@Elias yer no changes have been made within the last 48-72 hours, ill try the live chat youve suggested. thank you
@Elias ,
all sorted thankyou. Shopify had to reset my account in their back end in order for the SSL pending to go through. thanks for your help.
