I got a mail from Shopify trust and safety team, mentioning that they terminated my Shopify account due to the violation of Shopify’s AUP. I checked every single point of AUP and I am 100% sure that I didn’t violated AUP, without any proper reason and prior information how can Shopify do this? I invested my lots of time and money into this, how unprofessional is this, I opened the account with the referral link from the Youtuber and I got discount for 97% off for the first three months, is that reason why Shopify is doing this? Atleast you should have mentioned it earlier, how can you do this in a blink of an eye,I am totally depressed because of this, My hardware,my time I have invested everything for the store growth, how can you do this without any reasonable information?
Dear Account Owner,
We have reviewed your account and determined that it is in violation of Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). As a result, we are no longer able to host your store on the Shopify platform and your account has been closed.
Shopify’s Terms of Service can be found here and our Acceptable Use Policy can be found here.
Thank you,
Shopify Trust & Safety Team
This is the mail I got from the Shopify trust and safety team, please give my store back I have invested everything into it, I didn’t do anything wrong.
Hi Harish13,
That’s unfortunate that you’ve had such a terrible experience. If you still have access to your website site and customer subscription data, I’ll explain step-by-step what you can do to save your site content and simply migrate to a different hosting services provider.
- Purchase a website hosting package with comes with free URL domain name transfer. What you’re about to do is clone all of your website content and migrate it to different hosting platform that is not a ‘SaaS/Software As A Service’.
- There are several excellent data migration software programs and plugins that give you the ability to transfer all of site pages, items, product pages and descriptions, product SKUs, customer order subscription history, SEO meta-data — literally everything in your Shopify account can be copied/cloned.
- For less than approximately $400.00 USD, you can migrate your entire Shopify store to an all new platform. There’s no need to start from scratch building a new website. Simply copy-clone and migrate the data you’ve already created!
It may take an entire day or two days to complete the migration process. Then, you’d want to spend a few hours doing some post-migration testing to make sure that functionality is in tact.
I’d be happy to recommend three or four of the best data migration tools. I’ve used several over the years. Send me a private email message and I’ll share a few.
Out of respect for software vendors in this community and Shopify Community Forum rules, I won’t post links. I’m not selling anything. Just trying to help you solve a serious problem.
Happy Selling,
