Shopify suddenly denying payments from customers

Ive had my shopify acct for over 2 years with no issues. Sales have been great… today i keep getting messages from different customers (online) stating they are not able to complete their sales. It has happened with 3 customers in the past 2 hours. I have not changed any settings and do not understand why/how this is happening.

At this time, we have not received any reports of checkouts being affected as per our Shopify Store Status page.

I would like our team to look into this account-specific issue as it’s affecting customers from completing their purchases. I encourage you to create a support request through the Shopify Help Center to speak with our team. Our team may need to take a closer look at the payment gateway attempted and the abandoned cart section of your store.

When reaching out please include information on the following:

  • Does this issue happen with all products or when selecting specific products?
  • Are the affected customers located in the same area?
  • Links to abandoned carts where customers were unable to complete purchases.
  • Screenshot of error messages customers see at cart/checkout.
