I thought I was chosen by a new Shopify program, where a Shopify Partner tries to boost the shop to success.
I was invited to Telegram and am now chatting with ,Daniel’’ on how to improve my shop and what steps helped other users in the past.
I truly thought it was legit, he made me a long personalized strategy and all. But now he wanted me to buy followers through influencers. Coming in packages, just like fake followers.
@Jhonnaes this is not a Shopify Support Channel but good to know, how they approached you. I have never encountered such a “Support” but many merchants have reported weird emails and service proposals.
Thank you. They really made a good job on making it look real. I’m not the kind of guy to fall for scams but I didn’t had to give any personal information about myself for 2 weeks now.
I guess there strategy is to build trust over weeks and personalized work of their side and then they want to give time pressure about the ,expiring of the program, to let the Shop beginner get incautious.
