Shopify Wiz To Provide Solution to my problem ($5 tip to first person who provides working solution)

I have a bundle app that automatically provides discounts when buying 2 or 3 of the same product.

  • Example: Buy 2, get 5% off; Buy 3, get 10% off.

This works fine.

Now, we want to add a gift with purchase feature:

  • Spend over 249 and get Product X for free.
  • Spend over 499 and get Product X + Product Y for free.

Sounds simple, right? Wrong!

We cannot find a solution that allows us to have both the bundle discounts and the free gifts on our store.

We’ve tried several things, but nothing has worked.

In our cart when cart reaches over 249 the free gift becomes free which is great…

but when we add 2 of any product in the cart which activates the 5% discount the free items becomes full price.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

$5 beer money to first person who can suggest a workaround / working solution.

I am using an app for the bundle discounts . I am open to any solution to fix the free gift issue combining with bundle app .

Smruti here, we built Monk to simplify free gift setup for Shopify merchants.

Setting up a tiered Free Gift with Purchase offer is quite easy with Monk.

You can create an offer for when customers spend over $249, they get Product X for free, and when they spend over $499, they get Product Y for free, along with Product X.

The app applies a 100% discount on both products X and Y to make them appear free in the cart and the checkout.

Most importantly, Monk lets you run free gift with purchase offers along with other discounts and offers simultaneously.

Basically, you need Buy X Get Y Discount/Products for free. This can be done with AiTrillion. AiTrillion can help you with the setup of points where customers will get Buy X get Y products discount. Feel free to let me know if you would like to know more.

unless you are suing Shopify’s built in Discounts you have to refer to the company who made the app. no one can help unless they know how to use the particualr app you are using as that is not made by Shopify

Unite the two rules in one discount engine. Turn off auto bundle discount and make one script/rule set for quantity and spend thresholds. Use Shopify Functions or an app such as Shopify Scripts Plus to set priority for conditions: first apply the percentage discounts and then override specific product prices to $0.
