Multiple store owners on the Slack channel for users of the Mechanic app are confirming that API access is not working, even though the current outage on https://shopifystatus.com suggests that API access and third party integrations are working correctly.
For example, all of my Zapier apps are getting 404 errors and are unable to retrieve order information from Shopify when they are triggered.
Unfortunately, because customers are still able to access the storefront and place orders, this means that all of my automations that process those orders are not working, which will make for a huge mess to clean up once things are working again. I’ve had to take the unprecedented step of closing my store (i.e. adding password protection) to avoid customers from attempting to do things that might trigger an automation that might not work properly.
I’m hoping someone from Shopify can update the Shopify Status page to reflect this.
