I want to ask, i have started a store on that am selling my friends product as a reseller. So when we add products should we tick the check box of charge tax on this product in pricing section.

This is a great question! Have you set up your tax profile within Settings > Taxes and Duties? We do have an awesome guide that can walk you through the general set-up for charging taxes on your products.
Using the Shopify Admin, you can charge taxes on your products by navigating to your Products and select on the product you wish to charge taxes. You should then be able to locate the checkbox to charge taxes on this product, once that has been successfully checked - the taxes will be automatically applied based on your location and local tax laws.
