Submitted ID for verification. Just trying to have a small functional payment processor ..should I just quit now before my money gets frozen by shopify or what? I hear horrible things..is there a good alternative by chance?

Are you able to expound more on what you are trying to do with Shopify? What exactly are you experiencing on your end regarding ID verification? The more information you are able to share, the easier it will be for myself and other contributors to provide input and feedback on your situation.
When it comes to ID verification, this is a normal situation that most, if not all, merchants go through especially in the beginning of their store set-up. I have also attached this link here for alternative payment methods that you can go through as well.
