hi!! If im using virtual address to register my business. Do i put the same address as my fulfillment centre address or my home address where I will be packing orders initially?

First, I do want to clarify that you cannot use a virtual address when registering a business with Shopify. For legal, and tax purposes, you are required to use the address where your business is operated. This may be a home address, an office space, etc. You will be required to verify this address when launching your business. In your situation, it sounds like your home address.
When it comes to fulfillment, you will use the address where your orders are being shipped from. This is to ensure the correct labels are generated, including any potential return labels.

I do apologize for any confusion. When it comes to customer-facing information, you can absolutely use a virtual address. That being said, for your formal business registration with Shopify you need to use the address your business is operated out of.
The reason for this, is there are legalities surrounding taxes, and payment processing, in which some services are not available to certain regions. We need to verify your identity to ensure you are operating from the location you state in your settings to ensure all legal requirements are met.
For example, some merchants who do not live in a country supported by Shopify Payments try to use virtual addresses to register their business in the US, when in actuality it is in Europe, Asia etc.
To simplify, you can use a virtual address publicly, but in your Shopify General Settings, you need to use an address you can verify you operate from.
@Skye_1 ok let me break it down: i live in milpitas, california in an apartment. Since i live in a rental apartment, i cannot register my business with my apartment address. So i will be taking a virtual business address( actual street address not a mailbox) from Regus to register my business. After i get my business address. I will register with legal zoom. After i get all the paper work done i will open my store in shopify. So shall i put my home address in the shopify store or my business address? Im a first time opening up a business. Its quite confusing.

It can definitely be a learning curve!
When launching your Shopify store you will need to have your home address under Settings > General, as well as in your Shopify Payments settings under Settings > Payments.
It is completely fine that you are in a rental apartment. You will not be able to use a virtual address for these settings as you will be required to verify your address through utility bills, and documentation, which you won’t have for your virtual address.
In regards to your fulfillment, have you already decided on a fulfillment center? If so, you can use this document to set things up.
@Skye_1 Ok. I think i understood. For verification purpose, i will put my home address and for shipping and fullfillment purpose I will put my business address. Correct me if I’m wrong!
As long as the address for fulfillment is close by, and you can receive potential return packages there, then it would be just fine!
The reason why the address would need to be close, is if you intend to use calculated shipping rates at checkout, you would need to use an address that the shipping label would calculate correctly.
