Should I verify both custom and managed domains on Facebook?

Hi. I’m setting up Facebook Business Manager for my Shopify store.

During this process, it’s necessary to verify my domain.

Should I verify?

(1) only the shopify-managed domain (*.myshopify.com)

(2) only the custom primary domain (mycustomdomain.com)

(3) both of them

Just one more question…

My custom domain is in fact a subdomain (ie: shop.my_custom_domain.com).

Facebook seems to not accept verification of subdomains.

Do you agree that I can verify only the root domain (my_custom_domain.com) and everything will be set?

Hi @marcossimas ,

I think the root domain should be working. If the shop is subdomain, then the entire domain will be verified. If not, let me know and we will find a solution.

Hey. I have a more seperate domain verification question. When connecting my facebook to shopify, i keep getting an error message: The domain could not be verified because it was already claimed by another Business Manager account. But I only have one business manager account and I just created this month. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
