Hello.
I am using the Dwell template and would like to show breadcrumbs as users navigate around the website. Does anyone know if there is a way to add that feature without modifying the code? I’ve looked everywhere I know to look and was unable to find a setting.

No. If your theme doesn’t have a breadcrumb section, then you would have to add the code/file for it if you wnnt the breadcrumb.

Most Shopify themes, including Dwell, don’t have a built-in toggle for breadcrumbs and you usually have to add them manually in the code. There isn’t a setting in the theme editor for it.
Your best bet is to use a Shopify app that adds breadcrumbs for you. Have you tried out those options yet?
I don’t know…maybe it’s me, but it seems like everything requires an app. Pretty frustrating at times. I tried a couple of apps and from what I found the section has to be added to each different page individually, not to mention there are monthly fees involved. I prefer to not modify the code, so for now I’ll just forgo breadcrumbs.

Yes if you are using a free theme (basically an empty shell), it’s not often going to have what you want. If you wnnt bells and whistles you’re going to have to either work for it or pay for it. It’s a marketplace. Good time to go shopping
