Issue: After updating to Dawn theme v14.0.0, a previously working code tweak (from an older Dawn 6.0 guide) to show the product’s featured image by default now prevents variant images from updating. The product page always stays on the featured image regardless of the variant selected. By default, Dawn auto-switches to the selected variant’s image; the goal is to keep featured image as the initial load, but still allow variant image switching.
Recent activity: A responder asked for the video URL and the file name where the code was added. The requester shared a Google Drive video showing the implementation and expressed ongoing frustration.

Open questions/action items:
The default theme show the auto-selected variant image instead of the featured image on the product page. In the previous version, I use the code stated in this page and it works perfectly.

However, when I do the same code change for Dawn v14.0.0, it shows the featured image as default ok product page but all the variant images are gone. It stays as the featured image whichever variant I choose. Can anyone help me with this. Thank you.
