Show Policies in a Light Box - Dawn Theme

Using the Dawn theme (version 15.3.0)

When the policy link is clicked on the Checkout page, the policy is shown in a light box or fancy box (not exactly sure what it is called). See attached images..

All other pages have links to the various store policies in the footer. When a link is clicked, the policy is shown on a new page. How do I get these links to show in a light box, just like on the Checkout page?
