Simple Affiliate / Infleuncer App

Hello! We are trying to get more organic traffic to our website. We are interested in using an influencer app.

After researching with our Shopify Sidekick, it looks like the best app for us would be “Simple Affiliate”. Shopify also recommended two other apps called “Shortly” and “Modash”. Modash seems like it would currently be out of our price range and seems very robust for us to start out with.

Can anyone share their experience with the Simple Affiliate app? Or recommend any apps they feel would be best for influencer marketing?

Thank you

Lol the guy above just posted something from chatgpt.

I run an influencer app, and u really gotta think about ur end goal:

Is it brand awareness or sales? If its sales → affiliate. If its awareness → influencer app.

a lot of people start with gifting, just sending creators free gifts in exchange for posts. but be prepared you could send out 100 free produts and get 5 posts.

Lol hello,

We want both! Obviously, at the end of the day, we want sales! However we have been spending money on paid ads, which do help bring in business, but we don’t want to rely on these ads as much.

Influencers are an avenue we have been wanting to explore for some time now, but we are a small business and don’t really have the expenses to install an expensive app or give away a bunch of free product.

Our goal is to have influencers promote the product and have affiliate links or codes where they can earn a percentage of the sales (commission based). My issue With Simple Affiliate is that the influencer recruitment is on us, the app doesn’t have a discovery database.

Hey @kaleighbrennan18 . Hope you are doing great!

Try ShopifyCollab first, it’s free and built in. Simple Affiliate is solid too, no need to pay when collabs do the job!

I use uppromote. Its free plan is enough for me to use. I had some minor issues, and the customer support helped me out a lot.

However, it’s more for managing affiliate/influencer referrals, links, codes, and commissions, so it works well if you already have or plan to reach out to creators yourself.

 One thing I’d keep in mind is that the marketplace can bring in some low-quality or spammy signups, so you may still need to review and filter affiliates before approving them.

Hello there @kaleighbrennan18
For early stage influencer marketing, simplifying the setup tends to be better. Simple Affiliate is good if you want a fast onboarding with smaple tracking functionality, curley is better for link management and attribution. Modash is designed for larger scale creator discovery and analytics, so it can feel overwhelming at first.

Another route is to just avoid apps for now, using Shopify discount codes per influencer and track links with UTM codes in GA4. Clear sales attribution with no additional cost and to help you verify which creators convert before investing in scaling tools.

Hello, @kaleighbrennan18
Hope you are doing well!
You can start with UpPromote Affiliate Marketing. It is one of the most popular Shopify app for affiliate programs, is budget friendly, and makes it easy to track links.

It depends on your scale. If you are just starting, it is often better to keep things simple rather than paying for expensive enterprise tools.
