## AI-generated summary

A Shopify size-chart app is awaiting App Store approval, and its developer is seeking feedback from clothing, footwear, and accessories merchants. Current features include editable charts, product and collection targeting, cm/inch display, fit notes, and a tool that recommends a size from shoppers’ measurements; testers are offered the top plan free for three months.

Feedback highlights several needs: assign charts to apparel blanks or products by SKU prefix, show garment measurements such as chest width and length directly on product pages, and provide customizable fit notes for differences such as unisex versus women’s sizing. The developer confirmed that SKU-prefix targeting is planned for an update after approval and is considering whether fit notes should be customizable.

Another merchant stressed that shoe and clothing size-scale conversion between EU, UK, and US systems is distinct from unit conversion. They also suggested market-aware defaults (such as cm for EU shoppers), remembering shoppers’ preferences, placing the chart link beside the variant selector, and enabling bulk chart updates. No final release or resolution is reported; these requests remain feedback for future development.

Hi all,

I’m a developer, and I’ve built a small size chart app for Shopify that’s currently in App Store review. Before it launches, I’d like a few stores selling clothing, shoes or accessories to try it and tell me honestly what’s missing or confusing.

It lets you:

- Build size charts in a grid or paste them from a spreadsheet
- Show them by product, collection, tag, type or vendor
- Let shoppers switch between cm and inches in a pop-up or table
- Add fit notes like “Runs small” or “Model wears M”
- Let shoppers enter their measurements and get a suggested size

If you’d like to try it, reply or send me a message, and I’ll send it to you as soon as it’s approved. Testers get the top plan free for 3 months.

And even if you don’t want to test anything: how do you handle size charts now, and what’s the most annoying part?

Thanks!

Apparel side feedback, since this one hits home for us:

Let me attach a chart by blank, not just by product. A lot of apparel and POD stores use the same blank across hundreds of products, so one chart for a Gildan 5000 and one for a Comfort Colors 1717 should cover everything. A SKU prefix rule would be cleaner than tagging every product.

Garment measurements, not body measurements. Chest width laid flat and body length are what actually stop returns.

Show the key numbers right on the product page, not only in a popup. Most shoppers never click the size chart link. When we put the actual chest width and length on our listings at [tshirtgang.com](http://tshirtgang.com) (full disclosure, it’s my company, we do print on demand), the “what size should I get” emails dropped a lot.

An easy fit note for unisex vs women’s, since unisex tees run big on women.

Happy to try it when it’s live.

Hey @JimFromTshirtgang , THANKS FOR THIS FEEDBACK! It’s helps me know I’m going back in the right direction.

`Let me attach a chart by blank, not just by product. A lot of apparel and POD stores use the same blank across hundreds of products, so one chart for a Gildan 5000 and one for a Comfort Colors 1717 should cover everything. A SKU prefix rule would be cleaner than tagging every product.`

Regarding the above, I really like the SKU prefix rule! At the moment, it is by tag, collection page or selecting that product directly but the SKU pre-fix is golden. It will be added in once immediately with the updates after approval 💪

`Garment measurements, not body measurements. Chest width laid flat and body length are what actually stop returns.`

Do you have an example this this on a store? I’ve created a customise table so it can include an image, title, and then anything can be added in the column names (chest, waist etc) As well as the ability to display the table on the product page, use a link or popup. It seems like this is pretty standard.

`An easy fit note for unisex vs women’s, since unisex tees run big on women.`

The easy fit note I have added asks whether the admin (you for example) if the fit runs large or small and then displays this but would this “fit note” be better if it was able to be adjusted instead of hard coded?

The next feature I’ve already built (will release after approval) is the help me find my size where the user can enter their measurements and based on your size chart, it will recommend a size

Hi @alexliquid. The most annoying part for us isn’t cm to inches, it’s scale conversion. EU, UK and US sizes are separate scales, and shoes need a real conversion table, so a simple toggle doesn’t cover it. If you sell into the EU through Shopify Markets, default the chart to cm for those markets and remember what the shopper picked last time. Put the link to the chart next to the variant picker as well, not only in the description, because that’s where people hesitate. And let merchants update many charts at once, since one supplier changing grading means editing dozens of products by hand.

Mark it as the solution if this was useful.
