I am hoping someone can lead me in the right direction because I’m having a hard time reproducing an issue that is occurring to some products randomly every few days.
Issue description:
Some products are having their SKUs rewritten in sequential order.
For example:
I may have 20 variants on a product in different colors/sizes.
Original sku values
100700800 Product 1 Black
100700825 Product 1 Orange
100700850 Product 1 Lavender
Suddenly, I am receiving orders with skus such as 100700801
Now, when I view my product some skus have been rewritten.
NEW incorrect sku values
100700800 Product 1 Black
100700801 Product 1 Orange
100700802 Product 1 Lavender
I run a script to update inventory quantities from a central db every few hours that calls a POST to /admin/api/2021-04/inventory_levels/set.json
which may be the culprit, but when I run it manually I am not seeing anything ususual-- it basically runs as it always did.
Has anyone else experienced their SKUs being rewritten in this way?
