I’m trying to get the slick slider working so I can have a logo bar featuring a multitude of client logos automatically sliding through in seemingly endless fashion.

I’ve been following the following these steps that are specific to Slick:

It seems the logo bar options is in the Settings, which ends up plopping the logo carousel on the bottom of every page, instead of as a section that can be placed on the homepage.
Pretty sure this is because the JSON is in the settings.schema
How can I get a logo slider on the homepage?
Can I make all this slick stuff work?
Am I missing something because I am a newb?
Is there something better and easier out there?
Why is it so GD difficult to feature client logos on a website?
