Slideshow section is not updating new copy

I am having the weirdest issue I have never experience before.

I have updated the copy on my slideshow however it is not showing up on my live site. How can I fix this.
Site is: BambooM: Eco-Friendly Bamboo Products for Sustainable Living

1st slide on slideshow reads “Unlocking the power of bamboo…”

BUT I have updated copy to read “We decrease your reliance…”

@SiriusGrowth - have you added any cache app which is not cleared?

no - this is happening on all devices I check on.

@SiriusGrowth any chance that by mistake these changes are done on non-live theme?

Hey @SiriusGrowth ,

looks like everything is correct on my side.

Try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser.

Sincerely,

Lior from Studio Enchant

no, see the screenshot, these changes were made on a live them

So you see the first banner copy as “We decrease your reliance…”?

I have cleared my cache and cookies and even sent the site to various friends and they see the other copy. Brand owner wants this fixed and I cannot for the life of me figure out solution.

Hello again @SiriusGrowth ,
That’s odd, at first I saw everything as meant to be and now the text is correct just for a small moment and then it becomes the previous version.

I will look into that, meanwhile I would recommend that you delete this slide and try adding it again.

Sincerely,

Lior from Studio Enchant

@SiriusGrowth - for a fraction of second we can see the text you added and it gets replaced, it can be javascript issue, I recommend to delete this slide and add new to check

Yes, exactly, you see the correct copy flash on the screen and then disappear. it is very unusual.

I just deleted the slide and created a new one and still the same thing.

I DID add a custom code to the site in order to add breaks in the sub header line. But i did this weeks ago and this problem just started.

I also added a script above the tag on the theme.liquid page recently but once again, everything was working fine after I did this.

I dont think these two changes to code created a problem?

@SiriusGrowth - lets try by deactivating this js code you added recently…

Yes, i tried that already as well

@SiriusGrowth - any old copy of the theme which is fine and you can make it live?

Hey @SiriusGrowth ,

Drumroll please… :drum:

After a thorough investigation, we’ve found the culprit behind your mysteriously unchanged slideshow copy!

It turns out the Search Atlas SEO app is overriding the hero section content on your live site. When their script runs, it replaces your updated copy with the older one (“Unlocking the power of bamboo…”).

If you block or disable their script, your updated text (“We decrease your reliance…”) will appear as expected.

Hope this clears things up — and gets your message back on track! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Let us know if you’d like help tweaking the integration or finding a workaround.

You can try blocking sa.searchatlas.com domain in your network tab and see everything working as expected.

Best,

Thank you so much for figuring this out! Can you help me with a workaround?

Hey @SiriusGrowth ,

We’ll need to check how that app is customized and why it’s unexpectedly changing the content.

To do that, we’ll need to take a closer look at your store’s setup and theme code. Please feel free to DM or email us your Shopify collaborator code, and we’ll send over a store access request right away to help fix this for you.

Hope this helps — looking forward to getting it sorted!
