Slideshow text and button not showing on apple devices

Hello In my shopify store when a user is browsing from an apple device, the text and button on the homepage slideshow do not appear.

Is your apple device updated to the latest OS version?
Horizon-family themes require latest OS updates to function properly.

In fact, all of the Horizon family themes share the same theme code, so all solutions apply to all of them.

Same with Dawn family.

Ultimately – they are the same theme with the different initial settings.

Please add this code to Custom CSS of that slidehow section to show the issue

slideshow-arrows .slideshow-control { opacity: 1; }

Hi,

Hope this will help

A few things may help you:

  • Check if slideshow image is set as a “background image”
  • Verify your “Text contrast” or overlay settings
  • If you’ve added custom code or an app injected some then check it
  • Make sure you aren’t using a video slide
  • Run page through iOS Safari Inspector
  • Theme bug most common cause if you’re using Dawn variants
