I used to be able to do an exchange at the till, now you want $80 a month for this. Now I have to return the item, pretend I’ve done a refund, and sell the customer the replacement with store credit. Looks bad from an accounting point of view. Thanks. I’m getting more and more tired of the little thing which are being whipped away every other update.
Hi @Louise_Lee
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the changes made to the Point of Sale features this past year. I wanted to let you know that I am happy to listen to any feedback you may have about the changes and how it has positively or negatively affected your business management.
You are correct that the option for an integrated exchange has been moved to the POS pro subscription, along with a range of original features and new features created for POS Pro. This change was made to ensure that our offerings continued to be competitive while allowing us to be in a position where we can continue supporting our POS system and developing new and better features for our merchants.
The POS Lite plan is designed for merchants who do intermittent or occasional in-person sales, like pop-ups and special events. Where as the POS Pro includes the features most merchants would want when running a physical retail store. POS Lite allows for standard in person transactions and more advanced order management can be done from within the Shopify admin itself instead of through the POS app.
Please let me know if you have additional feedback or questions you would like help with.
